MYP5 Volunteering
All families
Thursday and Friday last week we spent time with our MYP5 students at the SENIORS Torrequebrada retirement home, as part of the experiential curriculum focusing on action and social engagement. The children were helping the elderly to decorate their outdoor spaces, painting pots for their plants and moulding and painting decorative figurines together.
We also danced with them and laughed a lot. This way, when they water their plants or just walk around these areas, they will remember this little time they shared. It was a beautiful experience in which very nice values of mutual respect were transmitted and we all became aware of the responsibility we have as part of society. The older children were very grateful for their visit, which, as they said, filled them with life and joy.

Events and Projects
Candanchú trip- Ski Óptimo
MYP1
Our MYP1 students have enjoyed their amazing adventure in Candanchú as part of the Óptimo Project within the Experiential Curriculum. Over the past few days, they have had a unique experience in the snow, facing new challenges and learning on and off the slopes.
The abundant snowfall has made their skiing days even more exciting, allowing them to improve their technique while developing essential skills such as self-improvement and responsibility, autonomy and collaboration. Moreover, sharing this experience in a new environment has strengthened their friendships and collaboration skills.
Today, they will return home with their backpacks full of unforgettable memories, valuable lessons, and, most importantly, the satisfaction of overcoming new challenges. We are certain that this experience will stay with them forever!

Workshop families and teachers “The adult as a mirror of the child. How to establish limits”
All families
As part of our support plan for families and teachers, and with the aim of generating routines and dynamics that have a positive influence on the well-being and academic performance of our children, we have organised a free workshop for families, which will also be attended by the teachers of the corresponding cycle, entitled ‘The adult as a mirror of the child. How to set limits’. These are the dates and times:
– Tuesday, March 4th from 4:30 pm to 6 pm in the coworking for MYP and DP families and teachers. Link for MYP-DP registration.
– Wednesday, March 5th from 4:30 pm to 6 pm for families and teachers of Infant and PYP. Link for Infant school-PYP registration.
We believe that this initiative is an excellent opportunity to work together in the same line based on mutual respect between adults and children or adolescents, as well as in the creation of environments that generate security through clear limits according to the fundamental values that we share. We look forward to your presence at the workshop. In order to facilitate the organisation of the workshop, we would be grateful if you could register by clicking on the links above.
Aula Madrid- University Fair
MYP5, DP1 & DP2
On 28th March, we would like to organise a visit to Aula Madrid, one of the most important university fairs in Spain, which has more than 200 direct national exhibitors, together with that of the main international educational centres and a wide programme of Technical Conferences and complementary activities, making up an information scenario of unique characteristics that will undoubtedly provide our students with the vision and real contact with the university world. The trip will take place by train (AVE-Renfe) with departure and arrival at María Zambrano station.
This is an excellent opportunity for our students in MYP5, DP1 and DP2 to explore academic options and start planning their university future. For interested students, please complete the form below. If we are able to gather a group of at least 10 students, we will move forward with the organisation of the trip. In this case, the cost of the train to Madrid will have to be covered by the families.

Tip/Curiosity of the week
Talk about nutrition
All families
Yesterday, 6th February, MYP2 and MYP3 students took part in an interesting talk about the importance of healthy eating, a key aspect in their developmental stage. During the session, given by Scolarest, the students learned about essential nutrients, the need to maintain a balanced diet and the risks of following some popular diets on social media.
They also explored the concept of the Harvard Plate, a healthy eating model that helps to visualise the best way to distribute food in a meal. This talk allowed our students to reflect on their eating habits and better understand how to make healthier choices in their daily lives.
