Carnival

All families

On 17th February, our educational community experienced a day full of colour, creativity and fun with the celebration of Carnival. From early in the morning, our students and teachers arrived in their best costumes.

One of the most eagerly awaited moments was the MYP chirigotas competition, where talent and humour were the main protagonists. Amongst all the performances, the most outstanding was that of the groups MYP1A and B, who took the first prize with their funny chirigotas ‘Los CIT’ and “Necesito un patio ya”, which brought laughter and applause from all those present.

Thank you all for taking part!

From 22nd of February to the 4th of March 2025, our DP1 students will travel to Anantapur, where they will stay at the Vicente Ferrer Foundation. During their stay, they will have the opportunity to learn about the cooperation projects and actively collaborate in the organisation’s work camps.

This trip, an essential part of the International Baccalaureate CAS Programme, and our experiential curriculum, will allow them to develop values such as empathy, social commitment and teamwork, as well as being a transformative experience that will undoubtedly leave its mark on each of them.

Aula Madrid- University Fair

All families

On 28th March, we would like to organise a visit to Aula Madrid, one of the most important university fairs in Spain, which has more than 200 direct national exhibitors, together with that of the main international educational centres and a wide programme of Technical Conferences and complementary activities, making up an information scenario of unique characteristics that will undoubtedly provide our students with the vision and real contact with the university world. The trip will take place by train (AVE-Renfe) with departure and arrival at María Zambrano station.

This is an excellent opportunity for our students in MYP5, DP1 and DP2 to explore academic options and start planning their university future. For interested students, please complete the form below. If we are able to gather a group of at least 10 students, we will move forward with the organisation of the trip. In this case, the cost of the train to Madrid will have to be covered by the families.

Workshop families and teachers “The adult as a mirror of the child. How to establish limits”

All families

As part of our support plan for families and teachers, and with the aim of generating routines and dynamics that have a positive influence on the well-being and academic performance of our children, we have organised a free workshop for families, which will also be attended by the teachers of the corresponding cycle, entitled ‘The adult as a mirror of the child. How to set limits’.

These are the dates and times:

Tuesday, March 4th from 4:30 pm to 6 pm in the coworking for MYP and DP families and teachers. Link for MYP-DP registration .

Wednesday, March 5th from 4:30 pm to 6 pm for families and teachers of Infant and PYP. Link for Infant school-PYP registration.

We believe that this initiative is an excellent opportunity to work together in the same line based on mutual respect between adults and children or adolescents, as well as in the creation of environments that generate security through clear limits according to the fundamental values that we share. We look forward to your presence at the workshop. In order to facilitate the organisation of the workshop, we would be grateful if you could register by clicking on the links above.

Workshop for official certification in positive discipline

All families

As promised, and in response to requests from many families, we would like to remind you of the excellent opportunity offered by the Positive Discipline Association to organise a workshop at CIT for the official certification of families. Following the training and certification that the CIT teaching team obtained last September, we consider it essential to work together as a school and families to generate a real positive impact on the education of your children, and therefore we continue to promote initiatives that allow us to achieve this together. The workshop will take place at the CIT facilities on the 29th (Saturday) and 30th (Sunday) of March 2025, and will be given by Marisa Moya, a teacher specialising in Human Sciences and Early Childhood Education, with a degree in Psychology and certified as a Neuropsychoeducator and Positive Discipline trainer by the Positive Discipline Association, which runs the host educational centre for Positive Discipline in Spain in Madrid.

The Association is offering a special price of €350 for each registered member of the CIT community, instead of the usual price of €449. You can find more information about the characteristics of the workshop in this link to the official website of the workshop.

Information for those interested:

Interested families can register in this form to proceed with the official registration before the next 7th of March. In it you must tick the option ‘Families Malaga 29/03/2025 – 30/03/2025’.
