This week, our Year 7 students will go to Candanchú on a trip that is part of the Optimo project – which forms part of our experiential curriculum. After a complicated year in which we had to change the destination for last year’s trip to Sierra Nevada for organizational reasons related to the Covid-19, we can finally return to Candanchú this year.
The purpose of the Optimo project is to integrate sport as an essential complement to education. Practising sport is not only a physical process, it is also an emotional, social and cognitive challenge. That is why it is so important for us to offer our students this experience, a trip where they also develop social skills by sharing a week with their classmates and teachers.
