Welcome to our last newsletter of the term!

As we close the first term of the 2024-25 school year, we would like to share and remember with you some of the most special and memorable moments we have experienced together in our school. It has been a term full of learning, laughter and unique experiences that we hope you have enjoyed as much as we have.

We look forward to seeing you in January, ready for a second term full of new adventures, journeys, learning and emotions that will continue to mark this incredible year.

So many classes we have shared and so many things we have learned, all thanks to the dedication and passion of our wonderful teachers, thank you for making this term a learning journey!

The course began with an exciting ceremony that united our community in an atmosphere of inspiration and joy. A memorable start full of meaning and togetherness.

Progress on the CIT Plaza renovations is progressing well, bringing us closer to new spaces designed to enhance the educational experience.

Our students participated in the ‘Beyond Education’ test, obtaining valuable tools for their personal and academic growth.

An experience that strengthens their integral learning.

The Oppidan mentoring programme has been a success, fostering leadership and empathy between older and younger students, reinforcing the values of our community.

The Family Lab Coffees of the year were warm, connecting encounters for families, strengthening the bonds between school and home.

With a wide range of options, our Extracurricular Activities kicked off with great enthusiasm, offering unique opportunities to explore talents and interests.

The allocation of school houses was a magical event that reinforced the sense of belonging and tradition in our youngest students and their families.

Creativity and fun took centre stage in a Halloween full of memorable moments, celebrating imagination and sustainability.

Our community ran together for a cause of solidarity, demonstrating once again the school’s social commitment.

A sporting day full of meaning.

These seminars allowed families to experience first-hand the school’s educational approach, strengthening the connection between home and school.

Our students excelled in the CICAE Debate League, demonstrating exceptional skills in communication, critical thinking and argumentation.

We are proud to announce that two of our teams have reached the final and we look forward to cheering them on and celebrating their success!

The Positive Discipline workshops offered families and school staff an inspiring insight into educational strategies that enrich both children and adults.

The volunteer weeks reinforced the values of solidarity and collaboration, leaving a significant impact on our educational community.

Thanksgiving was a special celebration that brought everyone together in a spirit of gratitude, strengthening the bonds of our community.

The presentation of ‘Don’t Get in a Sweat’ was an emotional event that inspired young and old with its message about emotions and teaching.

The educational outings provided the students with opportunities for learning and adventure, fostering fellowship and self-improvement.

Our students participated in the School Chess League, excelling in strategic thinking and competitive skills. We are proud to share that some of them have advanced to the final, the conditions of which we will announce soon.

These sessions promoted empathy and understanding towards neurodivergence, enriching our perspective as an educational community.

The creativity and talent of our students shone at the Innovation Fair, highlighting projects that reflect dedication and originality.

Christmas came to school with celebrations full of joy and community and our festivities have been highlighted by the exciting performances of our students, which put the finishing touch to a term full of special moments.

Our University Fair connected students and families with national and international institutions, helping them plan for a promising academic future.

The Christmas holidays are just around the corner, and we would like to remind all families of the days and times when the school will be open during this period.

Students’ holidays: from the 23rd of December to the 7th of January (both inclusive).

Holidays on which the school will be closed:

-07/01/25

On non-holidays, the school will be open from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm to attend to any needs you may have.

The benefits of games in the education and development of children and adolescents are well known, as they promote physical activity, emotional control, social skills or problem solving, The holiday season presents a wonderful opportunity to enhance learning and development through play within the family setting. Beyond entertainment, games and toys can foster physical, social, and emotional skills while strengthening family bonds.

• Choose based on age and needs: Toys should match the child’s developmental stage and encourage specific skills.
• Set clear boundaries: Agreements on time and usage maximize the benefits of play and minimize potential downsides.
• Avoid overstimulation: Focus on quality time with one toy or game before moving to the next.
• Encourage interaction: Toys that promote sharing time with family or friends are the most meaningful and cherished.
• Include books: Always a great choice to spark imagination and cultivate a love for reading.
