¡Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! We hope you have had a wonderful holiday with your loved ones. We begin 2025 with great enthusiasm, hoping it will be an unforgettable year for all of you and, of course, for your children. This term has a special significance for our school. At last we will be able to inaugurate our new facilities, playgrounds and classrooms, the fruit of months of hard work and dedication.

We can’t wait to see the faces of our students when they discover these renovated spaces, designed to enrich their learning experience. We are sure that it will have been worth the wait and we thank you for your patience and support in this process. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for the trust you place in us to accompany your children in their development. We strive every day to practice an education based on empathy, respect and positive discipline, making each student feels valued and listened to, not just another name, but as the unique person they are, with their emotions, ideas and experiences. We wish you a 2025 full of great moments, unforgettable learning and the opportunity to continue building together an educational environment that inspires humanity, values and personal growth.

Happy 2025 to all of you!

Kind regards,

Iciar Garcia

Mocks Cambridge, by Goethe and Alliance Française

PYP, MYP y DP

The Cambridge Mocks or Primary school will start on Monday 13th of January and the Goethe and Alliance Française Mocks for MYP and DP on the 27th of January. These tests are a simulation of the official exams and will allow us to determine which Cambridge exam we recommend for each student.

The Mocks are designed to recreate the conditions of the final exams, offering students a valuable opportunity to practice and familiarise themselves with the format, rigour and time management required in the official assessments.

This simulation not only reinforces their academic knowledge and skills, but also allows them to experience an environment similar to that of the final exams, helping them to build confidence and reduce stress in the face of future challenges. Cambridge Mocks results will be available on 31 January and Goethe and Alliance Française results on 21 February in Alexia app, in reports.

School Houses meeting

All families

On the 23rd of January, the students of our school houses will meet for a meeting dedicated to the active participation and continuous improvement of our educational community. This meeting represents an opportunity for students to express their ideas and proposals on various aspects of school life. During this meeting, the students will have the opportunity to present their suggestions for improvement directly to the School House Ambassadors, who play a key role as spokespersons for their peers. The ambassadors will then take these proposals to the Student Council, the body responsible for evaluating and implementing these initiatives.

This activity reinforces fundamental values such as cooperation, leadership and responsibility, as well as fostering a culture of dialogue and engagement among students. We are confident that innovative proposals will emerge that will contribute to further building a more inclusive and enriching school community.

We look forward to hearing the bright ideas that will emerge from this meeting!

All families

We are very proud to announce that our students will be representing the school in the 2nd CICAE Debating League Tournament, which will be held on the 24th and 25th January at Salliver School in Fuengirola. This event brings together teams of students from different schools, highlighting their argumentation skills, critical thinking and teamwork.

Having the tournament so close makes this occasion even more special, as we are playing at home, and we have the support of our community to cheer on our students. During the event, they will debate relevant and topical issues, demonstrating the skills they have acquired through their training and preparation, and we wish them the best of luck!

Workshop Positive Discipline Association

All families

We would like to share with you the excellent opportunity offered to us by the Positive Discipline Association to organise a workshop at CIT for the official certification of families and after listening to your requests. After the training and certification that the CIT teaching team obtained last September, we consider it essential to work together as a school and families to generate a real positive impact on the education of your children, and therefore we continue to promote initiatives that allow us to achieve this together.

The workshop will take place at the CIT facilities on the 29th and 30th of March 2025, and will be given by Marisa Moya, a teacher specialising in Human Sciences and Early Childhood Education, with a degree in Psychology and certified as a Neuropsychoeducator and Positive Discipline trainer by the Positive Discipline Association, which runs the host educational centre for Positive Discipline in Spain in Madrid.

The Association is offering a special price of €350 per registered member of the CIT community, instead of the usual price of €449. You can find more information about the characteristics of the workshop at this link. To book your place, please fill in this form before 31 January, and we will contact you in the coming weeks.

Thank you very much!
