At Torrequebrada International College we believe that high employability experiences are essential for the development of our students. For this reason, over the years, we have been designing an Experiential and High Employability Curriculum, an itinerary parallel to the academic curriculum specifically designed for our students to acquire the necessary skills for their autonomy and future employability.
According to the International Labour Organisation, “employability is the transferable skills and qualifications that strengthen people’s ability to take advantage of education and training opportunities to find and keep a decent job”.
The CIT Experiential Curriculum and High Employability Programmes are divided into several areas including Self-Management, related to Health and Well-being. In this case, the master plan is designed to give our students an insight into the realities of issues such as Gender Based Violence, Drugs and Alcohol, Network Safety and Sex Education.
It was precisely in relation to this area that the Public Prosecutor for Minors of the Malaga Provincial Court, Francisco Javier García Rull, gave a talk to our 1st and 2nd year secondary school students. The talk covered topics such as the duties of minors in society and the different legal procedures the prosecutors face.
At the same time, students were able to express their doubts and learn first hand about some of the real life cases and different laws that the Prosecutor’s Office are working on.
