Solemn Opening Ceremony of the School Year 2024-2025
All families
We experienced some very special moments at the Opening Ceremony for the 2024/2025 school year. It was a day full of emotion, where students, parents and teachers shared together the beginning of a new stage. From the inspiring speeches to the music played by all, every moment was a reminder of the strength and unity of our school community.
Below, we share with you some photographs that capture the magic of those moments.
Digital Platforms
All families
To help all families, the school will offer information sessions for those families who have doubts about the use of the digital platforms, which will take place during these days:
- Tuesday 24th September for PYP Infants and PYP Primary families at 10:00.
- Wednesday 25th September for MYP & DP families at 10:00.
Renovation Works
All families
We continue with our renovation works! Below you will find some photos of the progress of the refurbishment work on our CIT PLAZA with new playgrounds and a Secondary and Baccalaureate building.
This week the pillars of the lecture hall are being built, levelling with cleaning concrete for the subsequent laying of the cavity, leaving the grounding of the building in place, preparing the retaining reinforcement of the pillar and setting out the last footings of the lecture hall.
BYOD delivery and Installment
PYP7-MYP5 families
We would like to inform you that on Monday, 23rd September, we will start with the installation of MDM on our students’ devices.
We would like to remind you that all the devices will have to be reset, we attach instructions so that you can do it during these days.
The devices purchased by families will also be delivered from Monday onwards. We thank you for your patience and collaboration in this process.
We are excited to integrate these tools that will enhance the learning of our students!
Events & Projetcs
Beyond Education
MYP1, MYP5 & DP2
During the beginning of October, our MYP1, MYP5 and DP2 students will have the opportunity to take the Beyond Education test, designed to measure their social skills and the impact of our Experiential Curriculum.
We are very excited about this test, as it will provide each student with personalised results and practical advice on how to improve and apply these skills in their daily lives.
This approach will allow them to not only better understand their strengths and areas of development, gain valuable tools for their personal and academic growth, but also lead to greater learning outcomes and more effective educational programmes from our tutors.
Oppidan
MYP2 & DP1
We are very much looking forward to the implementation of the new Oppidan mentoring programme, where our DP1 students will act as mentors for MYP2 students.
This project will allow them to develop key skills such as leadership, teamwork, empathy and listening skills, while MYP2 students will be supported by guides throughout their school day.
This exciting programme reinforces the core values of our CIT community, giving all participants the opportunity to grow both personally and academically – we are sure it will be an enriching experience for all!
Coffee Family Lab
All families
We would love for you to join us for the first Family Lab Café of the year, which will take place next Thursday, October 3rd, at 15:00h in the Co-Working Café space. This meeting is a great opportunity to connect, share ideas and enjoy a friendly atmosphere with other families. As it is the first of the year, we would be very excited to have your presence and to start this new cycle together.
To help us with the organisation, we ask you to confirm your attendance by filling the form.
We look forward to seeing you there and sharing a good time with you!
Extracurricular Activities
All families
We have extended the registration deadline for Extracurricular Activities until Monday 23rd. This year, we have added a variety of new activities designed to suit all interests, from sports and arts to technology and creativity.
We look forward to seeing you in early October to start all these exciting activities!
British Universities Fair
MYP5, DP1, DP2
We are pleased to inform you that as part of the Guidance Department’s experiential curriculum, as well as the school’s vocational guidance programme, we are organising our visit to the British Universities Fair (organised by the British Consulate) which will be held this year on the 18th October at the Sunny View School in Torremolinos.
This visit is voluntary and is only recommended for those students interested in studying in the UK. It is organised during school hours, so pupils will be able to arrive at 9:25 at the school and return for lunchtime. Students will need to bring their school jacket and a snack.
For the proper organisation of this excursion and the planning of transport, we will confirm the amount to be paid at a later date.
Please complete the following attendance questionnaire by Friday 27th September.
School House Assignment Act
Families of new students and families of PYP4 students
With the excitement of being part of a community, the sense of belonging and the inspiring example of the older students, we are preparing for an event full of magic: next September 27th during the morning, we will celebrate the School House Assignment Ceremony. On this special occasion, PYP4 and new CIT students will receive their school sash and will be assigned their school house.
The ceremony is open to all students from PYP4 to Bachillerato, and parents and relatives of PYP4 students and new students are invited to attend.
At the end of the ceremony, the students will return to their classrooms to continue with their school day, which will include the canteen service. All students are requested to attend in full uniform and jacket, wearing their school sash, except PYP4 and new students, who will receive their sash during the ceremony.
Please confirm your assistance through this form.
